The service

GiriChat is operated by Toni Molina, Jersey, Channel Islands; business licence 006521 and JOIC registration 104148. Contacto / Contact. GiriChat offers text and voice conversations with automated translation. Internet access is required to send and receive messages. Groups support up to 10 members.

Your account

Keep your sign-in PIN and private recovery code secret. Your contact sharing code is different and can be given to people you know. A recovery code can be used once. We cannot promise account recovery if you lose both your PIN and recovery code. You must be 18 or older to create an account and use GiriChat.

Responsible use

Do not use the service for harassment, scams, illegal content, impersonation or attempts to access another person's account or conversations. Only add people who agree to communicate with you. Report abuse through Contacto / Contact with the minimum information needed; do not send your PIN or recovery code.

Translation and privacy

Translation and generated speech may be inaccurate and may change the meaning of a message. Verify important information directly. GiriChat is not an emergency service and should not be relied on for medical, legal or safety-critical communication. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Read our privacy notice before sending content.

Content and availability

You retain rights to your content and permit the processing needed to deliver and translate it. Messages expire after 30 days through periodic cleanup. Save anything you need before it expires. Availability depends on hosting, connectivity and processing providers. We may restrict abusive use or suspend the service to address security problems.

Changes and applicable law

Material changes will be described in updated terms. These terms are governed by Jersey law, subject to mandatory rights applicable to you. Nothing excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact us first to seek resolution of a dispute.
